Rehearsal Update - End of Week 2

Although there was a bit of a delay due to double-booking of the auditorium, rehearsals are now rolling along! The cast and stage crew accomplished a lot during Week 2 (Jan. 8-14):

• The leads finished blocking and ran through scenes 1-3. 
• The ensemble worked on When We're an Addams, including singing through the entire song several times, practicing the Addams' snaps, and placement on stage for the beginning of the song. They also learned the Bunny Hop, The Twist, and tried out the Macarena as the "line dance" that Gomez calls for partway through the song. ​

• ​Photos of the five rigor mortis poses as well as videos of the Bunny Hop and The Twist are available on the Resources page. That's where you can also download the rehearsal tracks to practice singing.
• Stage Crew reviewed placement of all set pieces using the scale model. Meryl quizzed them by rearranging things and having the crew members put them back in the right places.

• And last, but not least, Liu, Liu's mom, and MaddieD were able to help Mr. John and me with cleaning the costume closet over the weekend. There's still a lot to do but it looks MUCH better.

​Plans for Week 3 (Jan. 15-21): 

• Singing with Soph!
• Continue working on choreography for When You're an Addams.
• Blocking for leads for scenes 4-6.
• First official sound, stage and costume crew meetings. (Light crew will start during Week 4.)
• House crew to plan posters and advertising so online sales can start ASAP.
• During weekend set construction: (1) Move all the set pieces and platforms needed to the stage area and start putting stuff together. (2) Get out or unpack all the props. (3) Move costume racks downstairs. (4) Continue organizing costume closet.
