Tuesday was so much fun! Thank you to everyone who could make it to our Imaginary company kick-off! If you weren't able to make it, don't worry. We're going to have plenty of time to get to know each other before opening night. In the meantime, here are a few notes from the meeting:
Meet the Staff

• For a list of the grown-ups who will be working with you, go here.
• Mrs. Knight's favorite food is pasta.

Why Change the Show?

• Kissing. We're prevented by the licensing agency from changing the script enough to get rid of the kissing. And the kissing scenes -- yes, more than one! -- just didn't feel right for middle school age kids. So, new show.

Expectations

• We’re a team – the show only succeeds if we all work together and support each other.
• Attend rehearsals – be sure to sign in when you arrive and check the "Get Ready" list.
• There's no such thing as “not my job.” If you see something that needs to be done, do it. Remember, we're a team.
• Be prepared for rehearsal– and bring something to do since there's lots of hurry up and wait in theater. (It's always a good idea to get your homework done!)
• Check here on our website frequently for updates.

Rules

• Don’t jump on or off the stage. We don't want anyone to get hurt.
• Don’t leave the auditorium without asking so we don't lose our privilege of using the auditorium after school.
• Listen when an adult or a crew lead is talking.
• Clean up before leaving so we don't lose our privilege of eating in the auditorium.

Scripts - Scripts will be passed out as soon as they arrive -- probably early next week. The soundtrack is on YouTube.
Production Contracts  - need to be returned by the following cast members:​ Andrew, Eleanor, Hannah, Jed, Katie, Nessia, Olivia, Omri, SamanthaG, Tyler. Stay tuned for a list of crew members who haven't turned in their form.

I'm really looking forward to seeing you all at the company meeting today after school. (Just so you know, "company" means all cast members and all crew members.) We're going to meet the staff, review the rules and expectations, get to know each other with some theatre games, and do a read-through of the script. it's going to be so much fun! :-)
